New Location Opening Summer 2018
MERRILL, WISC. – What has become a staple for fresh coffee and delicious soups and panini sandwiches in the heart of downtown Merrill, First Street Coffee Station announced plans to open a second location inside Park City Credit Union’s new headquarters. The café will occupy 2,500 square feet of the 26,000 square-foot headquarters that is under construction.
Rated No. 1 in Merrill by TripAdvisor for coffee and tea, First Street Coffee Station will maintain its own hours of operation and have its own drive-thru window at the new headquarters scheduled to open in late summer 2018. The café is owned by local couple Don and Dawn Swan. “From the start, we envisioned having a café/bistro as part of our new headquarters,” said Val Mindak, president and CEO of Park City. “The idea of a community coffee shop fits very well with our culture.
We want our new headquarters to be a place for the community to gather.” Designed by Milwaukee-based La Macchia Group LLC, the new headquarters will have an open, modern design, and will feature a 100 seat community room equipped with audiovisual equipment. Park City will offer this space to nonprofit and community organizations for meetings and other events.
Mindak says she is excited to partner with a local restauranteur.
“Dawn and Donn Swan have done a fabulous job in creating an atmosphere where everyone knows your name,” she said. “We look forward to a successful relationship with First Street Coffee Station whereby our new building will become a community hub for Merrill.”
